We here at chickenadoption.co.uk (or westwalessmallholders.co.uk), are interested in the welfare of chickens. We try to rehome abandoned chickens or those that are in need of medical attention. We have been able to rehome some of them ourselves but we are limited to the amount we take in.

We are huge fans of chickens of course and all the money we raise from this chicken adoptions and donations goes straight to helping out chickens. This can range from rehoming abandoned chickens to getting vetenary care for sick or injured chickens. You can help us by adopting one our chickens for a year, which means we can help other chickens. Nearly all our chickens have come from poor conditions, so we look after them here.

Well the good news is that Bridgitte is looking better now. Bad news is that Dory is now not looking well, but it is coming to the time when most will moult so I am not too worried. I can't believe its already May, where does all the time go, it seems like on a couple of weeks since it was the new year. I wouldn't mind but summer is dragging its heels yet again this year. I wouldn't mind so much but we keep being told that with global warming comes hotter and more turbulent weather. well we get the turnulent weather, no sign of the hot weather though.

Anyway just to let you know that I am planning some new things for this website that will h elp those of you that also own chickens, so keep it here. We are also bringing something very new to the site called 'The Chicken Run', you'll have to keep coming back but I'm sure you'll find it good and a laugh.
